Conclusion
Clause 26 requires substantial amendment to limit the cases that are brought within the accelerated detained appeals process, to ensure that cases are removed from the 74 Legislative Scrutiny: Nationality and Borders Bill (Parts 1, 2 and 4) – Asylum, Home Office Decision-Making, Age Assessments, and Deprivation of Citizenship Orders process where the interests of justice and fairness requires it and to ensure that the process itself is not so accelerated as to risk unfair decision making and consequential human rights violations. If this is not possible, clause 26 should be removed from the Bill. (Paragraph 172) Age assessments
