The Justice Committee asked the new Prisons and Probation Minister about her priorities and recent policy announcements from MOJ, Number 10 and HM Treasury, relating to prisons, including: The content of the Queen’s Speech relating to prisons; The condition of the prison estate and the announcement of an additional 10,000 places; Safety and security; Female offenders; and IPP prisoners.
