Inquiry scopeThe Work and Pensions Committee looked at the Annual Report and Accounts for DWP 2019-20, and heard about the efforts made by the Department to bring down fraud and error in the benefits system, as well as DWP’s future spending plans. The Committee asked about DWP’s coronavirus response, employment schemes including Kickstart, and changes to how DWP manages benefits for disabled people.
