Conclusion (the committee's words)
In response to the alarming increase in desire for cosmetic surgery among teenagers, the Department of Health and Social Care should work with the Department for Education to integrate evidence-based body image and social media literacy programmes into school curricula. This should include content on risks of cosmetic procedures. (Recommendation, Paragraph 119) 49
