Inquiry scopeThe Committee will examine the review of the UK by the UN Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). MPs will consider the following overarching issues: The government’s strategy for implementing CEDAW and accountability for doing so Women’s voice to government - including marginalised groups of women and how the government engages with women’s equality experts in developing policy Whether data collection is adequate to inform policy on sex discrimination, particularly in relation to intersectional issues for particular groups of women such as minority women, women impacted by religious laws and disabled women.
