We call on the Ministry of Justice and prison leaders to prioritise timely notification of upcoming releases to local authorities and other relevant stakeholders, giving them the best chance to identify suitable accommodation among an already limited stock of options. Additionally, we call on the UK Government to review its decision to freeze Local Housing 72 Allowance Rates until 2027.
