Inquiry scope

In this one-off evidence session, the Committee will hear from Heathrow Airport and power providers. The session will focus on the recent power outage following a substation fire which led to the closure of Heathrow Airport on Friday 21 March 2025. This is likely to include discussing the resilience of this critical piece of national and international transport infrastructure to disruptions such as power outages, as well as the management of the incident and communication with stakeholders.
