Inquiry scopeThis is a one-off oral evidence session examining the use, regulation, and environmental effects of Jet Skis. Likely subjects for discussion include: What effect, if any, the (a) responsible and (b) irresponsible use of Jet Skis has on (i) the marine environment and (ii) people, including other water users and local residents; Whether regulation by local authorities is effective in tackling the potential downsides of Jet Ski usage; Whether the deleterious effects of Jet Skis are sufficient to require national regulation in statute law, and how such a law might work in practice.
