Coronavirus: transport network pressures over Christmas
Status: Closed
Opened: 9 Dec 2020
Closed: 29 Apr 2021
Inquiry scope
This one-off evidence session will question Sir Peter Hendy CBE, who has been appointed as the Secretary of State for Transport’s Adviser on Christmas travel preparedness. Due to coronavirus restrictions this Christmas, the public are only permitted to travel between 23 and 27 December. This has led to concerns that the transport network will be particularly busy given the shorter travel window and reduced capacity on public transport.Oral evidence sessions
