Inquiry scope (the committee's words)

The Transport Committee publishes a report, warning that the Government should not proceed with 'all lane running' schemes while major safety concerns exist. Government Response Read the Government response to the all lane running report Read the Government response to the all lane running report (PDF 208 KB) Several "all-lane running" motorway schemes in sections of the M1, M4, M5, M6, M42 and M62 are in operation either as part of a managed motorway or with the hard shoulder used as a full-time running lane. Use of all-lane running looks set to expand and the Transport Committee evaluates the evidence generated to date and gathers information on the experiences of road users.
