The EU Referendum and its impact on Scotland inquiry

Inquiry scopeThe Scottish Affairs Committee hold two evidence sessions to examine the EU Referendum and its potential impact on Scotland. The first session will take place in Scotland on 9 May, and the Committee hears from representatives of key industries, such as NFU Scotland and Universities Scotland. In the second session in Westminster on 25 May the Committee hears from in/out campaign groups and UK ministers. The sessions look at the advantages and disadvantages that UK membership of the EU has historically provided Scotland. It also examines the possible impact on Scotland of the UK either leaving the EU or implementing the settlement recently negotiated by the Prime Minister. A final consideration will be the repercussions on the future of the UK should constituent nations vote for different outcomes.
