Inquiry scope
The session will examine issues raised by the Committee in its report on the science budget (PDF 722.67 KB) last November, in the light of the subsequent Spending Review settlement. This will cover the components of the budget (including the new Global Challenges Fund), innovation funding, changes to the ‘dual support’ research funding system for universities, and reforms to research council structures following Sir Paul Nurse’s review.Oral evidence sessions
