Inquiry scope (the committee's words)
The Committee has put out a further call for written evidence on Islamophobia, as part of its ongoing work on hate crime. This comes amidst increasing numbers of Islamophobic hate crimes, and follows publication of a report by the All Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims calling for the adoption of an official working definition of Islamophobia. Terms of Reference The Committee has already taken evidence on the roles of the print media, social media, and the far-right, and so would welcome further evidence on: The current extent of Islamophobia in British society The impact of official adoption of a definition of Islamophobia The role of politics
