We are keen to examine the policing policies of the Coalition Government, and their implications for operational policing, in particular elected police commissioners, reducing police bureaucracy, force structures and officer numbers. This will be particularly important in the light of cuts to the Home Office budget, given that policing accounts for over half of the overall budget .” Show less
