Inquiry scope
The Northern Ireland Affairs Committee hold a public evidence session with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP. This will be the Secretary of State’s first appearance in front of the Committee, and will cover the full range of his responsibilities. Among other issues, the session will cover the implications for Northern Ireland of Brexit, including the future of the land border with the Republic; the security situation and progress in tackling paramilitarism; and recent progress in reaching agreement on legacy matters since the Assembly elections.Oral evidence sessions
