Conclusion
The commonhold model of homeownership promises to have a range of advantages over leasehold—above all the principle that homeowners should have a vote in decisions which affect their home and the building in which they live. Where a commonhold association chooses to appoint a managing agent, they will be accountable to homeowners, not faceless landlords, for the decisions they make and the charges which homeowners pay.
