Recommendation
We recommend that the Government work with the insurance industry to facilitate the development of appropriate professional indemnity insurance products for building safety managers. In particular, we again recommend that the Government publish the competence framework and the precise responsibilities of the building safety manager.

We accept the recommendation, and we recognise that building safety managers could well struggle to access professional indemnity insurance. The Government is working closely with industry to ensure the competence framework and precise responsibilities of the building safety manager are made available in good time to alleviate concern in the industry and facilitate the development of appropriate insurance products.
