We recommend that the Bill place a duty on the building safety manager to inform the accountable person of their responsibilities under the Bill.

The Government agrees with the Committee that the Bill could mitigate the problem of some Accountable Persons lacking the time or expertise to understand their responsibilities adequately through the inclusion of a duty on the Building Safety Manager to make Accountable Persons aware of their responsibilities under the Bill.
