Conclusion
We welcome the location of the regulator within the Health and Safety Executive and agree that it has the experience and expertise to implement the new building safety Pre-legislative scrutiny of the Building Safety Bill 61 regime. We are satisfied that the provisions in the Bill already mandate a regulatory model focused as much on inspection during construction as on sanctions for non- compliance.
