Recommendation (the committee's words)
We recommend that our proposals for Parliamentary scrutiny of the Seventh Carbon Budget, as set out in the Chair’s letter to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero of 6 February 2024, be implemented in full. We propose that the successor Committee invite the Secretary of State principally responsible for the Government’s delivery plan for the Seventh Carbon Budget to discuss the Government’s draft plan at an early date following its presentation to Parliament for scrutiny.
