Recommendation
As well as having environmental benefits, urban horticulture offers potential health and wellbeing benefits and employment opportunities in local communities. The Government should take steps to encourage the availability of green and grey space for urban horticulture, particularly in deprived communities, and to upskill communities in growing knowledge, beginning with the school curriculum.
