Conclusion
A huge amount of water could be saved by more effectively facilitating the transportation of water from wetter to drier parts of the country. The Government, in collaboration with the devolved administrations, should develop a policy mechanism to transport water more easily and quickly from places where water is plentiful to more water-stressed places.
