Inquiry scopeThe Environmental Audit Committee took evidence from Rt Hon Caroline Spelman MP, Secretary of State, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP, Minister for Government Policy, Cabinet Office on 31 March , to examine the outcome of the Committee’s report on embedding sustainable development (PDF 1.20 MB) Since the Report’s publication, the Government has published ‘Mainstreaming sustainable Development – The Government’s vision and what this means in practice’ (PDF 337.69 KB) and submitted its response to the Committee’s Report. The Committee published its report (PDF 289.80 KB) in response to the Government's response on Wednesday 25 May 2011.
