Following the flooding caused by recent storms, such as Storm Babet and Storm Henk, the EFRA Committee are taking another look at how the Government, the Environment Agency and other Risk Management Authorities are working to prevent or mitigate the impact of flooding in the short and long term. This will include looking at investment in flooding defences but also its work on climate adaptation, such as measuring and predicting future risks, using natural flood management solutions, installing sustainable drainage systems and improving the resilience of individuals and communities against the damage caused by floods.
