The Committee is holding a pre-appointment hearing for the Government’s preferred candidate to fill the post of Chair of Natural England. Natural England is an arms-length public body within the Defra Group and acts as a statutory advisor to Defra and a regulator. The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will announce a preferred candidate after an open recruitment process. The Committee will take oral evidence from the candidate and will report its findings. Show less
