Countryside Stewardship Scheme one-off session

The Committee has opened a new inquiry into the performance of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme. The Countryside Stewardship Scheme provides financial incentives as part of the Common Agricultural Policy for land managers to look after their environment. It is managed and administered by Natural England, an non-departmental public body sponsored by Defra.
