The Government recognises the pressure on farmers' incomes and sets out measures on risk management, exports and the supply chain, saying it is "absolutely committed to supporting them".

On the Groceries Code Adjudicator, the Government is "aware of interest" in extending its remit to farmers who supply milk to processors and says "We will look at this issue as part of the review of the GCA in 2016".
On Producer Organisations and regional price pressures, the Government "agrees" that collaboration can improve farmers' negotiating power and "accepts" that price pressures can vary regionally.
On futures markets, it is "taking forward a further programme of work" exploring industry appetite and barriers, and is "drawing up practical options" for new derivatives markets.
On the red meat levy, it is "committed to exploring changes" to the system, "provided this is fair to levy payers across the country and does not place additional burdens on businesses".
