The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee will question Professor Chris Elliott about his final review of the Integrity and Assurance of Food Supply Networks which was published in September 2014. The Elliott Review (PDF 1.06 MB) was commissioned by the Government after widespread horse meat contamination was discovered in 2013. Among its recommendations, the Review calls for the creation of a new Food Crime Unit to help investigate organised food crime. Show less
