Inquiry scope

In response to announcements by the main milk processors of a second successive cut in the price of milk in as many months, the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee took evidence on the current problems in the UK dairy sector to follow up on issues raised in the Committee’s 2011 inquiry on the future of the dairy industry. Mansel Raymond, Pembrokeshire dairy farmer and Chairman, NFU Milk Board, England and Wales, Paul Kelly, Director, External Affairs, Asda Stores Ltd, and Mike Sheldon, Group Milk Procurement Director, Dairy Crest, gave evidence.
