Increased medical school places demand corresponding growth in resourcing and clinical placements.
Conclusion
Should the Government increase the number of medical school places, they must consider an appropriate increase in the size and resourcing of medical schools, including in their facilities and faculty, as well as increased numbers of clinical placements spread throughout the country, and more speciality training positions for the increased number of graduates produced.
