Delivering health aspects of Education Health and Care Plans

Inquiry scopeFollowing the publication of the Government’s Schools White Paper in February 2026 and the launch of a consultation on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) reform, the Health and Social Care Committee will examine the “missing H” in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The session will explore accountability within the health system and the impact of workforce shortages and planning on delivering timely healthcare interventions in school for children with EHCPs.
