Inquiry scopeThe Secretary of State faces questions on the impact of changes to the visa scheme for overseas care workers in her first appearance before the committee which will examine a range of challenges facing the NHS and Social Care. Also on the agenda, how the reallocation of funding to cover the costs of industrial action in the NHS is likely to affect waiting lists, with a backlog of more than 7 million. Wider areas expected to be covered include: government funding for the implementation of the NHS Long Term workforce plan; increasing ambulance and A&E waiting times.
