Pre-appointment hearing with the Government's preferred candidate for the role of Chair of HSSIB

The Committee will hear from Dr Ted Baker following the Government’s announcement that he is the preferred candidate for the role of Chair of the new Health Services Safety Investigations Body(HSSIB) in accordance with the Liaison Committee’s guidance. Ted Baker was Chief Inspector of Hospitals at the Care Quality Commission between 2017 and 2022.
